Why do we as a community waste our time telling people not to buy from scalpers/LCS?

It has become second nature for us, as a community, to tell people not to buy from scalpers. I do it, yall do it, but it’s not changing anything. People continue to buy from scalpers, card shops, GameStop, etc.. At the end of the day, sure, it’s just us telling people how they should be spending their money. Honestly, if they’re that dense to pay those prices, why waste the time to tell them not to? This hobby can only be saved by the community and no one listens to the community.
