New player, have questions about st08 luffy

i was gifted the st08 luffy starter and the yellow yamato starter and gave the luffy to my friend whos a huge OP fan so we could play a tcg together, my question is, does the DON cards that go to luffy stay on him? like he would be at 9k by turn 4 or something and i cant swing into him without constantly putting DON cards on my guys in order to get to his power, and even then all he gotta do is counter with 1 card right? but everyone says that this is a mid deck/mid leader. but it seems good to me lol, or am i understanding it wrong? i play magic and gundam and fusion world, but this mechanic is new to me submitted by /u/Automatic-City-7194 [link] [comments]
