Grading question

New to buying singles and was looking for some insight. Ive been buying a card ive been looking for on tcg player than going through the sellers shop and buying cards that I like or think are cool. I bought this pikachu and they stated it was near mint. When I got it the corners seemed off and theres a big line on it like somebody wrote something over the top of it. It was under 3 bucks so probably wont try and get a refund on the difference. I was just curious if this would be considered near mint or something lower for future knowledge.
