How to store pokemon cards

I just decided to put my best cards in some ultra pro on touch cases. I have them on display in my wardrobe but they are mostly out of direct light. I previously had them double sleeved in some top loaders but decided I wanted them on display but I can’t find a consensus on whether this is safe or not.
