Handling Offers
Learn how to manage and respond to buyer offers on your Buy It Now listings
Enabling Offers
When creating a "Buy It Now" listing, you can choose to allow offers. This lets buyers propose a price lower than your listed price.
When You Receive an Offer
You'll receive a notification when someone makes an offer. The offer includes:
- Offered price
- Quantity (if buying multiple)
- Buyer's message (optional)
- Buyer's username and rating
Your Options
Accept the Offer
If you agree to the price, click 'Accept'. A transaction is created immediately at the offered price. The buyer has 3 days to complete payment.
Reject the Offer
If the price is too low, click 'Reject' and optionally provide a reason or suggest a counter-offer price.
Wait & Think
You have 48 hours to respond. Offers automatically expire if you don't respond in time. Note that buyers can only have 3 pending offers per item.
Tips for Handling Offers
- Consider the buyer's rating - experienced buyers are more reliable
- If close to your minimum price, consider accepting
- Respond politely even when rejecting
- A quick sale at lower price may be better than waiting
After Accepting an Offer
Once you accept:
- Item is reserved for the buyer
- Transaction created at offered price
- Buyer must pay within 3 days
- Follow normal sales process (confirm payment â ship)
